Lisa Hitchins, MD

Lisa Hitchins, MD is a board-certified dermatologist who believes in creating the healthiest skin possible for each woman, man, and child she treats at Dermatology Center of Northwest Houston in Cypress, Texas.

Dr. Hitchins combines hands-on, compassionate care with cutting-edge technologies, minimally invasive surgeries, and the latest advances in skincare and anti-aging treatments. She has a particular passion for helping you learn more about your skin so that you can keep it healthy, clear, and radiant at every stage of life.

A Houston native, Dr. Hitchins began her medical education at Texas A&M University. She earned her MD at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.

While at Tulane, she underwent intensive training in diagnosing and treating psoriasis, eczema, acne, warts, and skin cancer. Dr. Hitchins supplemented her studies in medical dermatology by working with renowned professors who specialize in cosmetics and cosmetic dermatology.

Dr. Hitchins firmly believes in treating you like a member of her own family. Besides helping you clear troublesome conditions, she offers skin screenings and teaches you how to protect yourself from skin cancer and other skin issues. She also provides several cosmetic dermatologic solutions, ranging from smoothing wrinkles with Botox to removing veins with sclerotherapy.

When she isn’t creating glowing complexions at Dermatology Center of Northwest Houston, Dr. Hitchins enjoys working on a tractor and raising three red-headed girls.

Sheevam Shah, MD

Dr. Shah is a Houston-native board certified dermatologist who is skilled in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of general dermatological conditions in patients of all ages, including children. He has extensive expertise in surgical dermatology, having performed hundreds of complex reconstructions as the solo surgeon during his training. He is passionate about all aspects of dermatology, with an emphasis on cutaneous oncology (skin cancer), procedural, and cosmetic dermatology.

Dr. Shah attended Baylor University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Biology and Biochemistry while in the Honors College. He then went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine degree from Texas A&M University. He completed his residency training at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in central Texas, where he served as chief resident during his final year of training in addition to receiving extensive training in complex medical and surgical dermatology.

Dr. Shah has an extensive background in dermatological research, having authored dozens of publications and book chapters. He has presented his research at several conferences nationally.

Dr. Shah enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, running, and traveling – he has visited over 35 countries and counting!

Dr. Shah accepts a large variety of medical insurance plans. He is committed to working with referring providers to accommodate patients with urgent medical needs to be seen promptly.

Chelsea Barr, MPAS, PA-C

Chelsea Barr, MPAS, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant who is passionate about dermatology and building positive relationships with her patients in order to help them achieve their healthiest skin and desired skin care goals. She offers medical and cosmetic dermatology, including atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, acne, skin checks, neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport) and dermal fillers (Juvederm, Voluma).

As an undergraduate, Chelsea studied at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition Science. Her expertise in nutrition overflows into her dermatology practice, with the health of the individual at the core of her practice. She later received her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch, where she frequently returns to lecture PA students throughout the year. Today, she is licensed by the Texas Medical Board and certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant. Chelsea continues to thrive in her field and to expand her education by attending local, regional and national dermatology conferences and meetings to learn the most up-to-date technology and treatments. She believes that evidence based practice is essential for exceptional patient care as well as extending knowledge to patients in order to educate and empower them to take control of their skin care needs.

Chelsea has been practicing as a PA in Dermatology since 2012 and has extensive knowledge and experience in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Prior to joining Dermatology Center of Northwest Houston, she practiced at Houston Skin Associates.

She welcomes all ages of life, treating pediatrics to adults.
When she is not working, Chelsea lives an active and healthy lifestyle. She enjoys running marathons and ultras, weight lifting, hiking, yoga and spending time with her family and her Maltipoo, Buster. Most mornings before clinic, Chelsea has already met up with her training mates to run around Memorial Park. She is excited about exploring new running areas in Cypress.

Sara Wingate, MPAS, PA-C

Sara Wingate, MPAS, PA-C is certified by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas A&M University and graduated with Highest Honors from Nova Southeastern University with a Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.

Sara, a Houston native, started the first 9 years of her career in a family medicine practice here in Cypress. During this time, she discovered her true passion for helping patients manage chronic skin conditions and living in their healthiest skin. She truly enjoys building lasting relationships with patients and their families. Sara has a passion for medical and cosmetic dermatology, while focusing on the entire wellness and health of each individual patient.

She offers care for a variety of medical dermatological conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, warts, skin cancer screenings. She provides the highest quality of care for skin concerns, but also strives to give patients the confidence in their skin’s appearance. She continues to attend lectures, conferences, and trainings, striving to be the most up to date on current evidence based medical practices.

When not at work, she is busy living an active lifestyle. She enjoys exercising, reading, and spending quality time with her family, preferably on a boat at the lake! Her greatest joy in life are her two little kids, husband and rescue pup, Ty.
